Lobos Island

Living in the Canary Islands is a lucky secret, but they are also fortunate to be able to have this wonder of nature called Isla de Lobos. You cannot leave Fuerteventura without having spent a day in the Natural Park of Lobos Island, an almost virgin and uninhabited place where you can enjoy incredible turquoise and crystalline waters in a paradisiacal place.

 

How to get to Lobos Island from Fuerteventura

The proximity of Lobos Island to Fuerteventura is notorious, since in only 15 minutes by boat you can get from Corralejo to Lobos Island. From Lanzarote it is also very common to go to spend the day on Lobos Island. You have several options from the different destinations listed below:

Buying your regular ferry ticket from Corralejo: There are several companies operating on the quay in Corralejo where you can buy your ferry ticket and go to Isla de Lobos on your own. It is advisable if you know the island well but you must bear in mind that from 2019 it is MANDATORY to get the access permit to Lobos Island that you must ask for at least 1 week in advance. 

Hire an excursion: It is the most feasible option for all those who do not know the island and want to worry only about enjoying this spectacular natural setting. Once on Lobos Island, there is the possibility to do different activities around the Natural Park and the subsequent visit to the small fishing village. You can visit the wonderful natural spa, where information is provided about the flora and fauna of the island, and also enjoy the spectacular Playa de la Concha, where you can have a small picnic and contemplate the views from this beach.
