Cofete

Cofete

One of the most spectacular places you can find in the world without a doubt. Cofete, a village full of history in a spectacular, paradisiacal and totally virgin environment within the Natural Park of Jandia where only a few families live.

How to get to Cofete

Cofete is located in the southwest of Fuerteventura in the Natural Park of Jandia in Pajara, so you must reach the village of Morro Jable through the FTV - 1 road. Once there you must take the detour to Cofete to cross a road (mostly unpaved) and reach your destination. Along the way you might come across loose goats, but don't worry because if you don't bother them nothing will happen. They are great fun!

What you will find in Cofete

Besides a paradise of peace and calmness, Cofete has something that catches your eye. There are few places where you can feel as free as here, and that is during about 12 kilometers of beach you are quite likely to find absolutely nobody. If it is true that you should be careful with the possible sea currents, as they are changing and in some cases strong.

In Cofete, besides the immense beach, you will be able to find the houses of the people who live there as well as those of the people who spend the summer there, where they will never be in contact with nature.

Don't forget to visit Casa Winter, which is legendary for having been built after the Second World War in 1946; or Roque del Moro at Barlovento Point, a perfect area for fishing or nudism; or go up to the Cofete viewpoint and take dozens of photos with the spectacular image of this wonderful beach in the background.

Without doubt one of the best places in the Canary Islands to get lost and disconnect!
